Eight cars collided head-on with each other on the Yamuna Expressway in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, this morning due to thick fog. Two were killed and at least seven were injured. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Agra for treatment.

This year, in states like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, etc., the incidence of burning straw before harvest was on the rise. Winter, on the other hand, was starting so it was like thick fog on the Yamuna Expressway and visibility was reduced.

At around 7.30 am this morning, Shadabad police received news that seven or eight cars had collided with each other. Police rushed to the spot and rushed to the spot to evacuate the injured and take them to the hospital, Commissioner of Police Vineet Jaiswal told media.

Last year, 24 cars collided on the same expressway. Work was underway to move the crashed cars with the help of a crane to clear the expressway.
