Asaduddin Owaisi, MP from Hyderabad and chairman of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) said. In response to the recent Bihar elections, Owaisi described the Congress as a supporter of the BJP.

AIMIM won five seats in the Bihar elections for the first time. Now Owaisi has ambitions to contest elections in states like West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Owaisi said Congress never admits its mistake or corrects it. If this continues, the Congress will end.

He claimed that I had started my efforts to form a grand alliance as early as eight months ago. At that time a leader asked me a strange question why you are contesting elections in Bihar. You should not contest elections here. I then held meetings with RJD leaders and laid the groundwork for a grand coalition.

Owaisi alleged that Mamata's government had done nothing for Muslims in West Bengal. Why is there so much illiteracy in the state, why only three out of 100 Muslim graduates. Mamata wants to capture the votes of Muslims by calling herself a secularist. It shows fear of Muslims to BJP but it does nothing for Muslims. We are going to field our candidates there too. If Mamata had worked for Muslims, how could the BJP have won 18 seats there.
