BJP MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi's 6-year-old granddaughter severely burnt by firecrackers, dies during treatment

A mountain of grief has fallen on the house of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj Lok Sabha constituency. His six-year-old granddaughter Kia was critically burnt while setting off firecrackers on Diwali night and died on Tuesday morning.

Kia, the 6-year-old daughter of Rita Bahuguna Joshi's son Mayank Joshi, was critically burnt to death by firecrackers. He was badly burnt when firecrackers exploded on Diwali night, after which he was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Rita Bahuguna Joshi Prayagraj is a BJP MP from the parliamentary seat. His family was in Prayagraj on the night of Diwali. According to the information received, the girl went to play on the terrace with other children on the night of Diwali.


It is to be mentioned that there is a suspicion that her clothes caught fire due to the firecrackers left by someone at that time. Masoom Kiya, 6, wore a fancy dress on Diwali night.

The girl reportedly screamed as the clothes caught fire, but the householders thought the children were all playing, but no one paid attention and no one even went to see. It is worth mentioning that the girl was severely burnt when someone went to the stairs after a long time. The girl was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead at the scene.
