A young man stabs a number of people in Quebec City, Canada, killing two

An attacker has stabbed and injured a number of people in the Canadian city of Quebec, killing two people.

According to media reports, the assailant was dressed like a medieval man. In the incident that took place on Saturday night, the assailant stabbed the oncoming passers-by. Police then appealed to the people to stay at home.

A 20-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards. Police vehicles have been deployed around the parliament building where the attack took place.

A similar incident took place in the French city of Nice, in which an assailant broke into a discussion, stabbed a woman in the head with a knife and killed two others.
