Today, the total number of cases registered in the country is 42,988, bringing the total number to 92,13,580. Today, 40,037 corona patients have been cured across the country, bringing the total number of cured patients to 86,35,149. Today, the death toll from corona in the country has risen to 1,34,5533, with 585 corona patients dying.
Meanwhile, the Sputnik-5 vaccine for corona in Russia has proved to be 956 percent effective, said Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). Speaking at a virtual press conference in Moscow, he said that the Sputnik-5 vaccine is the most effective vaccine in the world for corona and one of the most affordable vaccines.
The Sputnik-5 vaccine has been jointly developed by Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Micrology and RDIFA. The Sputnik-5 vaccine can also be stored at temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, the RDIF CEO added. The vaccine has been tested on 42,000 volunteers in Russia.
