In Nagpur, the winter capital of Maharashtra, a complaint was lodged by the police alleging that juvenile offenders were paraded and beaten up in a semi-naked state.

An FIR was registered against senior Nagpur police inspector Khushal Tijare, ASI Vijay Dhumal and five constables. The incident, which took place at the Jaripatka police station in North Nagpur, sparked controversy. All of these will be investigated under the Juvenile Justice Act. Efforts were also being made to identify these teenagers.

The details of the case are that on the evening of September 23, five teenagers with swords and other weapons went to a bar in Jaripatka area and sat down to drink alcohol. These five juveniles had criminal records. The teenager got into a fight with the bar owner Sanjay Patil and the waiters. Meanwhile, Patil stole cash from a bar when he went out to work.

The incident was reported on CCTV. Based on the police complaint, Inspector Khushal Tijar took his team and arrested five culprits. They were brought to the police station and stripped half-naked and then paraded through the city streets. The road was jammed and some people had made a new video clip of the incident. The issue came up later.
