A meeting of Congress leaders will be held today at the residence of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi to prepare for the Bihar Assembly elections and specifically decide on the list of Congress candidates.

Tensions are running high in Bihar right now. Just as Ram Vilas Paswan's party Lojjad split from the NDA alliance, so did Jitendra Manjhi and Kushwaha from Lalu Yadav's RJD. There is no denying the possibility of Sonia Gandhi announcing her party's candidates today as no party has been able to list its candidates.

The Bihar Assembly has 243 seats. Elections are to be held in three phases between October 28 and November 10. On the one hand, one crore people are suffering from heavy rains and floods, while on the other hand, political parties and leaders are worried about the Assembly elections. RJD's Lalu Yadav is in jail while Ram Vilas Paswan is in hospital due to heart surgery. Lalu's sons were hugging each other.
