PM Modi to hold talks with CEOs of 45 world's oil and gas companies

New delhi date. 24. Saturday 2020 October

PM Modi is scheduled to hold talks with the CEOs of the world's largest oil and gas companies on Monday.

The talks are being organized by the Policy Commission and the Ministry of Petroleum. They will talk to CEOs of 45 companies from around the world. According to a government statement, the meeting is aimed at attracting foreign investment in India's oil and gas sector. India has set a target of investing 300 300 billion, or Rs 21 lakh crore, by 2030 to meet the growing demand.

The meeting is expected to be important in this regard. PM Modi will speak to the CEO via video conferencing at 5.30 pm Indian time. India is likely to play a significant role in the oil and gas sector globally. India is the world's third largest oil importer. While India ranks fourth in the world in gas imports, the government believes that there are good opportunities for foreign companies to invest in India in this sector.

A similar conference with oil and gas companies was organized in 2016. This time the planned meeting will brief the companies on the government's plans and opportunities in India's oil and gas sector.
