Maulana's assassination in Pakistan, Raghavaya Imran blamed India

Islamabad, 11 October 2020, Sunday

Tensions have risen in Karachi, Pakistan, after Adil Khan, an influential Sunni cleric, was shot dead by bike riders.

While the killing is seen as an attempt to incite violence between Shia and Sunni sects in Pakistan, Pakistan's PM Imran Khan has blamed India for the killing without any thought. However, Imran Khan has no evidence of it.

According to Pakistani media reports, Maulana Adil Khan was also the president of Jamia Farooqia Madrassa in Karachi. The madrassa follows the Sunni Muslim teachings of the Deobandi sect. Khan was later taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe that there was a recent dispute between the Shia and Sunni communities in Pakistan, which has since escalated into violence and killings.
