Karachi blast: Three killed, several injured, second blast in 24 hours

A two-storey building in Maskan Chowrangi in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of ​​Karachi exploded this morning. According to initial reports, three people were killed and several others were injured.

Upon receiving the news, the anti-bomb squad rushed to the spot. The second floor of the building exploded. Police believed there may have been someone making illegal explosives. Relief work was underway.

A police spokesman said an investigation into the cause of the blast was ongoing. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Eyewitnesses said the blast was so violent that the windows of nearby houses were smashed. A spokesman for Mubi's town police said the house may have exploded as a gas cylinder exploded. Currently, the police have stopped the movement in the area. Five people were seriously injured in an explosion at the gate of a bus terminal near Shirin Jinnah Colony on Tuesday. This was the second explosion in twenty-four hours. An IED was affixed to the door of the terminal. It caused an explosion.
