Judicial custody of 14 days in Ballia case

-Dhole killed in the presence of hundreds of people during the day

-Dhahara is a close associate of BJP

Ballia dated 19th October 2020 Monday

Dhirendra Pratap Singh, who escaped after killing a man on a white day last week, was produced in court on Monday morning. The court remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.

Police did not seek his remand. A special investigative team formed by the Uttar Pradesh government rushed to Lucknow on Sunday. He shot and killed a 46-year-old man in the presence of a district magistrate and senior police officials over the issue of distribution of quota shops. He was left in the belief that his hair would not be crooked as he had a very close relationship with BJP MLA Surendra Singh of Ballia.

But this created a stir when Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath suspended the district magistrate and police who were present on the occasion and formed a special investigative team and ordered immediate arrest of the killer.
