Government aims to provide corona vaccine to 250 million people by next July: Dr. Harshvardhan

At a time when one lakh people have died from the deadly virus out of millions of cases of corona in India, now Union Minister Harshvardhan has made an important statement regarding the corona vaccine.

Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan said the Indian government's target is to make the corona vaccine available to about 250 million Indians by July 2021. The government plans to get and use about 50 crore doses of this vaccine.

States have been asked to provide information on which groups of their populations need vaccines by the end of October. The government's priority is to develop immunity among health workers first.

He said that the procurement of vaccines would be done at the central level. Every consignment of vaccines would be tracked. The government was providing all kinds of support to the companies for vaccine production.

In the last 24 hours, more than 75,000 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. So far, 65.49 lakh people have been infected with corona and more than 5.5 million of them have recovered.
