Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif said Pakistan was trembling with fear that India would attack the issue of Indian Air Force fighter plane pilot wing commander Abhinandan Varghaman.

In February 2019, Abhinandan Vardhman, the pilot wing commander of an Indian Air Force fighter plane, landed on Pakistani soil by mistake. India demanded his immediate release. Recalling the incident, Khwaja Muhammad Asif in the Pakistani parliament said that Pakistan was trembling for fear that India might attack us somewhere.

Supporting his statement, former Pakistan Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that the current chief of the Pakistan Army, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, was trembling and sweating profusely. Bajwa also feared an Indian attack. Ayaz further said that External Affairs Minister Sah Mahmood Qureshi was also trembling. He kept saying that let him (Abhinandan Vardhman) go. Pakistan feared that India would attack us if we did not leave the congratulations by 9 pm as per India's urging.

In this regard, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, while listening to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, said, "Rahulji, you were skeptical about the issue of surgical strikes and air strikes. You can see the extent of Narendra Modi's fear in Pakistan." Sardar Ayaz Sadiq is speaking in Parliament as Tantiya, the chief of staff of Pakistan's army, was shaking and sweat was running down his face.

In February 2019, Pakistan sent its fighter planes to India. To answer this, Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhman went out in MiG-21. His plane crashed and accidentally landed on the Pakistani border. He was captured by the Pakistani army. India had openly warned Pakistan to send Abhinandan Vardhman back immediately.
