Firing on a temple priest in UP after a priest was burnt alive in Rajasthan

After Rajasthan, now there is an incident of attack on a temple priest in UP too.

A priest at the Ram Janaki temple in Gonda, UP, was shot dead by assailants at around 2 pm on Saturday. The injured priest has been shifted to Lucknow. Land mafias are said to be behind the attack. Police received information that the lion had been shot at around 2 am. The bullet struck the priest's shoulder and went off.

It is learned that a dispute is going on over the land of this temple. Another priest of the temple has been attacked earlier.

Four people have been charged in connection with yesterday's firing on a priest. Two of them are being questioned. However, the opposition has found one more reason to surround the Yogi government after the incident.
