Bihar elections: RJD announces 10 lakh government jobs, 85 per cent reserved for locals

The real battle is now raging over the Bihar Assembly elections. The manifesto was announced four days before the first phase of polls by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Bihar's main local party and a component of the grand alliance. While announcing the manifesto, Tejaswi Yadav, the grand alliance's chief ministerial candidate and RJD leader, said that the manifesto was our pledge. In its manifesto, RJD has promised to provide one million government jobs to unemployed youth.

The declaration said that in the first cabinet meeting to be held after the formation of a brilliant government, the promise of 10 lakh government jobs to the youth would be fulfilled. At the same time, RJD has promised to implement a domicile policy in Bihar. In which it is said that domicile policy will be implemented in Bihar after the formation of a brilliant government. Under this, 85 per cent of the state government jobs will be reserved for local youth in Bihar.

Unemployment has become a major issue in Bihar this time around. In the manifesto, RJD has also talked of giving an allowance of Rs 1,500 per month to unemployed youth up to 35 years of age. At the same time, there is talk of forgiving debts up to Rs 5 lakh for punishment. The RJD has tried to attract the youth in particular through its manifesto. At the same time, the RJD has once again demanded special state status for Bihar.
