Apple Watch's use of electrocardiogram-ECG feature has saved the life of a 21-year-old Indore resident. This is the first case of its kind in India. Apple CEO Tim Cook wished Indore a speedy recovery after the operation.

Retired Pharma Professional R. The Flamingo uses the Apple Watch Series Five. In March of this year, he checked his ECG on an Apple Watch because he felt unwell. It said his heartbeat was irregular.

The swan was gifted an Apple Watch by his son Siddharth, who works at a top Silicon Valley company while studying at Harvard University in the US. Siddharth said that Apple Watch has ECG function so anyone can check it at any time. My father received a signal at midnight that his heartbeat was irregular. This is an important sign that nothing in the heart is seriously disturbed. When the same result came again and again, the swan contacted his doctor and informed him about the matter.

The swan did not have any hypertension or heart disease. However, further tests revealed that he had a low ejection fraction which required immediate surgery to remove. But the corona epidemic was likely to delay the operation. But the swan continued to monitor his heart condition with the help of Apple Watch's ECG feature.

"My father has since undergone mitral valve replacement surgery," Siddharth said. But even before his heart was diagnosed with valve pylori on an echocardiograph, the Apple Watch helped him find out that his heartbeat was irregular.

When the heartbeat becomes irregular it is called ephibus. The EFIB is assisted by the Apple Watch's ECG app and its irregular heart rhythm notification feature.
