The intelligence department had received information about a terrorist attack on Mumbai, the country's financial capital. Mumbai Police was alerted following the news. An alert was issued in Mumbai.

Mumbai Police has announced a ban on flying any type of drone in the city. According to intelligence reports, terrorists may attack Mumbai with remote-operated light aircraft, air missiles or drones in view of festivals and celebrations. In view of this fact, the Mumbai Police had banned any kind of flying object with immediate effect and had cordoned off important places. People were also urged to be careful.
