11 Indian students arrested for living illegally in US

A total of 14 students, including 11 from India, were arrested for living in the US illegally. These students have been charged with fraud. The students were arrested from places like Boston, Washington, Houston, Harrisburg, Newark. These students lived in the United States under the guise of a practical training program.
A total of 17 students, including 11 from India, were arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. These students continued to work in the United States under the pretext of a practical training program after the visa expired. An investigation by U.S. officials revealed that the companies named by the students under the Practical Training Program were not the same.
Under the optional practical training program, students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics are allowed to study for one year and after that they can work in another company or institution for another 6 months in the same field under practical training. In the name of this program, 11 students from India, one from Bangladesh, two from Libya and one from Senegal lived in the United States.
U.S. officials said the students were doing other jobs under the pretext of fake training. These students cheated by taking advantage of the optional practical training program. They get a job in the same field as part of 6 months of practical training, but these students took the wrong path to stay in the United States by showing fake company records.
