- Proposed by Bob Blackman of the ruling party

London / New Delhi Dated 18 September 2020 Friday

The question of Kashmiri Pandits who have been homeless since 1988-89 was raised in the British Parliament. Ruling party MP Bob Blackman on Monday proposed that Kashmiri Pandits fall victim to Islamic Jihad.

The proposal was backed by Democratic Unionist MP Jim Shannon and Labor MP Virendra Sharma. The Early Day Motion in the House of Commons expressed sympathy for the millions of Kashmiri Pandits who became homeless in 1989.

The proposal recommended that the plight of pundits fleeing for their lives be categorized as genocide. The resolution called on the Indian government to enact special legislation to curb the genocide. You signed the agreement to stop the crime of genocide at the UN. So take care of this responsibility and make a strict law to stop genocide.

MP Bob Blackman said millions of pundits who were forced to leave their hundreds of years old homes thirty years ago are waiting to receive justice. I have been constantly raising my voice for the atrocities perpetrated on Hindus in Kashmir. I also agitated for their rights. There is no law in India to stop genocide, so there is a delay in getting justice to the Pandits. The convicts have not yet been convicted. Pandits still roam like refugees. There is a definite law in Britain to determine the punishment for crimes of genocide. I hope that the Government of India will also enact such a law to give its citizens their due rights.

Bob added that under the Genocide Convention 1948, every country has the right to enact strict laws to prevent genocide to protect its citizens, and it is the duty of every country to do so. I hope that the Government of India will enact such a law soon and give the Pandits a just right.
