The NDA started cracking, after the LJP, now the Akali Dal is also annoyed

- Bihar Assembly elections are on the head

New Delhi Dated 17th September 2020 Thursday

With the Bihar Assembly elections looming, LJP's Chirag Paswan was angry with the BJP, while the Centre's decision on farmers was followed by the NDA's other constituent party, the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday indirectly warned the BJP that the Akali Dal was ready to make any sacrifice to protect the interests of farmers. Openly opposing the three bills on farmers and agriculture introduced in Parliament, he said the government should consider the interests of farmers first.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the government should not approve these three bills unless the various farmers' unions and farm laborers are satisfied and their demands are settled. If the government reinstates this bill, the government will be responsible for the consequences. Badal added that the bills were against the interests of farmers.

The essence of the bill prepared by the government is as follows- 1) To provide an opportunity for the farmer to sell his crop at a price that suits him, 2) Inter-state trade of agricultural produce without any control and 3) Preparation of infrastructure for sale of agricultural produce. These proposals seemed unjust to the farmers' unions and farm labor unions. The Prime Minister prepared these proposals under his own vision of a self-reliant India.

Sukhbir Singh Badal said that we are living in a democracy. The central government should have taken its constituent parties into confidence while preparing these three proposals. This is like putting your own ideas on the constituent parties.
