- The verdict came after seventeen years of the case

Lucknow dated 30th September 2020 Wednesday

A special CBI court in Lucknow has acquitted all the 32 accused in the alleged demolition of the Babri Masjid. Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav, in his judgment on the last day of his career, said that the whole incident was not pre-planned. Everything happened suddenly.

The so-called controversial Babri Masjid was demolished on December 6, 1992 by the Supreme Court. Two to two and a half lakh people were present at the spot on this occasion. According to the learned judge, the incident happened so suddenly that no leader of the big court could control it.

The issue has been burning for the last 28 years. Many senior BJP leaders were involved in the case, including former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, former Union Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and former Union Minister Sadhvi Uma Bharti, Sadhvi Ritambhara, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, Hindu Parishad leader and fire brand leader Vinay Katiyar, Ashok Singhal, Mahanda Nritya Gopaldas, Sant Ram Vilas Vedanti of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and others were present.

26 of the 32 accused were present in court. Veteran leaders Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and others were involved in the video conference. The scholar judge said that no one can be accused from the photograph published in the media.

Had he been convicted in the case, he would have been sentenced to three to five years in prison. The court also acquitted Maharaj, another AOP witness in the case. The chargesheet in the case was 2500 pages while the verdict was extended to 2300 pages. The case lasted seventeen years.

Shiv Sena president Balasaheb Thackeray was the only leader who said that my Shiv Sainiks have broken Babri and I am proud of that. Soon after the court ruling, the country's law ministers arrived at Ravi Shankar Prasad Advani's house to congratulate him.

The court said the accused had tried to stop the mob from demolishing the Babri Masjid. Photographs or videos of the incident do not prove that the mob incited the mob to demolish the Babri Masjid.

The CBI has not been able to produce any concrete evidence against them for conspiring to demolish the Babri Masjid or for the purpose of demolishing the mosque.

No one can be found guilty from a photo or video. These were important points of judgment. After the verdict, some monks distributed sweets to those present.
