Tahir gets funding from suspected organizations in Delhi violence: ED

Thus, suspended Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain played an active role in the Delhi violence, the ED said. The ED started interrogation after getting Tahir's six-day remand. The ED claimed that Tahir had received funding from suspicious organizations during the violence.

Aam Aadmi Party's suspended leader and former councilor Tahir Hussain was arrested by the ED. After receiving a six-day remand, ED officials questioned Tahir in a money laundering case. According to officials, Hussein was funded by suspected organizations to incite violence in Delhi.

This fund was used to buy fuel. The probe into Tahir's alleged involvement in the violent protests against the CAA in Delhi was sparked by the probe.

His relationship with Maulana Saad of Tablighi Jamaat is also under investigation, officials said. The six-day remand was granted on August 28. He then underwent a corona test as a rule and the interrogation has since begun.
