Pritam Singh made history by becoming the Leader of the Opposition in the Parliament of Singapore

The Indian-origin leader of Singapore has made history by becoming the Leader of the Opposition in Singapore. This is the first time that a leader of Indian descent has become the Leader of the Opposition in Singapore.

In the July 10 general election in Singapore, Singh's Workers' Party won 10 of the five parliamentary seats. Due to which his party has become the biggest opposition.

When Parliamentary proceedings began for the first time today after the general election, Leader of Parliament Indrani Raja announced 6-year-old Pritam Singh as Leader of the Opposition.

Addressing Parliament, Pritam Singh said there was a need to focus on foreigners and their situation. Foreigners make a significant contribution to Singapore's economy. Foreigners have created many jobs in Singapore.

Parliamentary leader Indrani Raja is also of Indian descent and is the leader of the ruling People's Action Party. There are six MPs from the People's Action Party in Parliament.

After the general election, the Prime Minister of Singapore said that Pritam Singh had been selected as the Leader of the Opposition in the 16th Parliament and that he would be provided all kinds of co-operation and resources so that he could perform his duties well.
