People of Kashmir would prefer to be with China but not with India: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Dt. 24 September 2020, Thursday

In Jammu and Kashmir, former state chief minister Farooq Abdullah seems to have gone berserk after the government removed Article 370.

Like other leaders, he was detained by the government after Article 370 was removed and later released. Farooq Abdullah has now made a controversial statement saying, "People in Kashmir do not consider themselves Indians. I would be surprised to find someone here who calls himself an Indian." .

"If you go to Kashmir and talk to anyone, you will find out. They don't consider themselves Indians or Pakistanis," Farooq Abdullah said in an interview with a website. The nail was the same step.

He said that Kashmiris could have gone to Pakistan at the time of partition but he did not like Gandhiji's India or Modi's India, now the people of Kashmir have no faith in the government. If you talk to Kashmiris, you will know that they want China to come to India. And he is saying this even though he knows how China has treated Muslims.

Farooq Abdullah said, "No one wants to hear what I am talking about. In every street in Kashmir, a young man is standing with an AK-47. Where is the freedom? The government needs to re-implement Article 370, which is essential for peace in the state." .
