Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was likely to rejoin the NDA with his party Hum. "We are joining the NDA," Hum spokesperson Dr Danish Rizwan told the media. Jitan Ram Manjhi himself will make the announcement on September 3 tomorrow. We are going to make an agreement with the NDA for development.

Rizwan of Hindustan Awam Morcha (Hum) said that our party is not going to merge with any other party. We are going to support the NDA. We will make efforts to take forward the development act of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At a time when our country is going through a crisis, the way Narendra Modi is facing the crisis and the way Nitish Kumar is developing Bihar, we should all be with Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. That is why our leader Jitan Ram Manjhi decided that we would join the NDA on September 3.

It should be remembered here that Jitan Ram Manjhi is a Dalit leader and he has a good grip on Dalit voters so every party thinks that it would be better if Manjhi joins us after the Assembly elections. Earlier, Manzi was in Nitish Kumar's party.

After losing the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar resigned as Chief Minister and Jitan Ram Manjhi was made Chief Minister. But with the passage of time, differences arose between Nitish Kumar and Manjhi and JD (U) removed Manjhi from the post of Chief Minister.

Annoyed by this, Manjhi separated from JD (U) and formed a new party called Hindustan Awam Morcha. However this party could not boil anything down. Only Jitan Ram as a Dalit leader is still acceptable among Dalits.
