Islamic State is active in twelve states of the country

The Central Government has given shocking information that the notorious terrorist organization Islamic State is active in twelve states of the country. The Islamic State, which is active in Iran and Syria, has infiltrated several states in the country.

Among the states where Islamic State is active, the states with the most influence were in the South. Almost all the states of the South are Tamil Nadu, Karnataka. Besides Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Uttar Pradesh. Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir.

Since 2014, the Islamic State has infiltrated countries such as Bangladesh, Mali, Somalia and Egypt, in addition to Iran-Iraq.

The government said Islamic State has direct links to terrorist organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Al Qaeda. The militant group was misusing social media to spread its Sunni extremist ideology in India. In addition to the intelligence agencies of those states, the central government's security system was informed of how many individuals in those states agreed with the Islamic ideology.

This information was given by Union Minister of State for Home G Kisan Reddy in a written reply to a question from BJP MP Vinay P Sahastrabuddhe. Reddy said the NDS had received information that Islamic State was active in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir. The country's anti-terrorism branch registered 17 cases, especially in the southern states, and arrested 122 people.
