Heavy rains in south-north India, three children killed in UP

Heavy rains have started falling again in North and South India. Three children have been killed in a lightning strike in Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, heavy to very heavy rains are falling in various states of South India.

The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While in Vidarbha in Maharashtra on Tuesday, heavy rains are likely in Marathwada on Wednesday. While Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu are currently receiving heavy to very heavy rains. Besides, rains have started again in Central Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.

In Uttar Pradesh, lightning struck during rains in Rajapur area here. Three children, aged eight, 12 and 13, were killed in a lightning strike in Chilimal village in Rajapur.

The children went to the forest to graze the goats where they were killed by lightning. One person was injured in the incident. At the same time, seven goats have also died. Heavy rains are still forecast in Uttar Pradesh by the meteorological department.
