A case of coronavirus re-infection has come up in a hospital in Bengaluru. This is the first case of its kind in Bengaluru. A 27-year-old woman was infected with corona in July. He was discharged after recovering. The hospital's official statement said that tests performed on the woman showed that she had not developed any immunity to the coronavirus.

Doctor Prateek Patil of the hospital said that in case of infection, the covid immunoglobulin G antibody test usually comes positive 2-3 weeks after the infection. However in this case the antibody test came back negative which means that his body did not develop immunity after being infected.

Another possibility is that the antibodies disappeared within a month leading to a re-infection. Its symptoms are mild after re-infection. He further said that the case of re-infection means that antibodies may not have formed in the patient's body. Because of this the transition takes the person back into its grip.
