Farmers block trains in protest of agriculture bill

-From today, the Stop Rail movement started

A nationwide strike has been declared tomorrow

Chandigarh Dated 24th September 2020 Thursday

The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti, which is agitating against the agriculture bill passed by the central government, started a rail stop agitation in Punjab and Haryana from today. As a result, the railways were forced to cancel a number of trains.

"We started the Stop Rail Movement from today which will continue till September 26," said Sarwan Singh Pandher, general secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti. If the government does not accept our demands, we will make the movement faster and more effective.

The government passed three agricultural bills in the absence of opposition parties. The two constituent parties of the NDA, the Akali Dal and the JD (U), have opposed the issue. Harsimrat Kaur of the Akali Dal had even resigned from the Union Cabinet. Opposition groups called on the President to suspend the two bills. Don't sign coins on it.

Once the President signs these bills, they automatically become law. Then nothing can happen. The Federation of Farmers had called for an India Dam on September 25 tomorrow. For Punjab Bandh alone, 31 farmers' unions were organized. The Punjab Congress government likened the three bills to deadly attacks on farmers.
