Eight Rajya Sabha MPs suspended for the entire session

There was an uproar in the Rajya Sabha while opposing the agriculture bill. In it, Speaker Vainkeya Naidu suspended eight MPs for one session for allegedly violating the rules of Parliament. Suspended MPs staged demonstrations on the Parliament premises.
Vice President and Rajya Sabha Speaker Vainkeya Naidu had suspended eight opposition MPs for the entire session. Trinamool Congress 'Derek O'Brien and Dola Sen, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh, Congress' Rajiv Satav, Syed Nasir Hussain, Ripun Bora and CPM's KK Ragesh as well as eight opposition MPs - all accused of misconduct in Parliament.
The issue was hotly debated. Suspended opposition MPs staged a sit-in on the Parliament premises and protested under the banner that the BJP government was killing democracy. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh protested against the government with sheets and pillows.
Speaker Vainkeya Naidu lashed out at the MPs for their behavior. Naidu also rejected a motion of no-confidence by the Opposition against Vice President Harivansh. Opposition parties, including the Congress, had earlier moved a no-confidence motion against Vice President Harivansh.
The issue of suspension of MPs created an atmosphere of great tension in the House. Opposition lawmakers protested against the lawmaker, citing various rules and regulations. Amid heated debate, Speaker Vainkeya Naidu announced the decision to adjourn the Rajya Sabha for one day.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the suspended MPs did not leave the House. By doing so, these MPs have broken the rules of democracy. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, while targeting the Opposition, said that the MPs who had broken the glorious legacy of the House by misbehaving with Marshall had again broken the rules of democracy by disobeying the Speaker's order.
