Washington, Ta. Thursday, September 17, 2020

The U.S. government says the corona vaccine will be given free to every American when it proves safe and effective. However, the head of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told Congress that large-scale vaccinations would not be possible until next year.

It will take six to nine months for vaccine shots to be distributed nationwide once any vaccine is approved. President Donald Trump said the vaccine would be available in a month, but the CDC chief said it would take six to nine months.

The World Health Organization's emergency chief said such differences over when to get the vaccine should be avoided and sent a clear message about corona. These things should not be chewed up like political football.

The number of corona cases worldwide is 29.7 million, with more than 6.6 million corona cases in the United States and 9,39,456 deaths worldwide.

Meanwhile, a crackdown on 2 million people living in various parts of the North East of England is being enforced following an increase in the number of corona cases in the UK. The decision to hold the lockdown was taken after consultations with local leaders, UK Health Minister Matt Hackok told the assembly.

In Sunderland, the number of corona cases is 103 per 100,000, compared to 70 in South Tyneside, Gatesstead and Newcastle. Germany, on the other hand, declared three European capitals, Vienna, Austria, Budapest, Hungary, and Amsterdam, dangerous because of the high number of corona cases.

Meanwhile, Turkish Health Minister Fahretin Koka said the trial of the third phase of the Corona vaccine from China's Synovac Biotech had begun in the country with three health workers receiving vaccine shots.

Now 1200 and then ten thousand people will be involved in this trial. He said a Pfizer company corona vaccine trial has also been launched. He hoped that mass vaccination would begin by the end of 2020.

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramphosa announced the opening of borders for international travel to South Africa from next month. "Our economy and society have been devastated but together we have been able to withstand it," he said.

Two months ago, 12,000 new cases of corona were reported daily, but today the number has dropped to 2,000. Now our recovery rate is 89 percent. However, he appealed to people to continue wearing masks and maintaining social distance. So that a new wave of corona infection does not come. He said restrictions would be relaxed from September 20.
