- Interstate and infrastate will run

New Delhi, Tuesday, September 1, 2020

After the Metro train, Indian Railways was now ready to start 100 more trains. There are currently 230 passenger trains running but they run like special trains.

The trains currently running include 230 Express and 30 Rajdhani trains. Now the 100 trains that are planned to run will also run like the special train. These trains will be interstate and infrastructural. "We are awaiting approval from the home ministry," a railway spokesperson said. Railway sources said no change would be made in the timing of these trains in the next two months or in April next year when the railways will unveil the zero-based timetable.

The Ministry of Railways had earlier announced to run more landing trains during the Unlock Four. Railways plans to run trains in phases.

Earlier there was talk of running trains keeping in mind the demands of the passengers and the influence of the Corona but more than once the idea had to be dropped. Now that the central government has agreed to run trains from the second week of September during the Unlock Four, the railways was ready to run 100 trains.

With festivals like Navratri and Diwali approaching, the demand for landlords was also likely to increase. The train was forced to close from March to April this year due to the corona.

However the workers were forced to run some trains as the demand for repatriation intensified. Coincidentally, the workers were now returning to the urban areas for their daily bread.

Plans to run new trains, on the other hand, were being implemented as the economy was hit hard and the Corona was weakening.
