In fact, there is no leader in the Congress today who has the ability to win parliamentary or assembly elections. The position of the Congress has become like a party dependent on the Gandhi family. After Sonia Gandhi resigns, it is a question of who will be given the reins of the party. Observers believe that if Rahul Gandhi does not believe in any way, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is likely to be made the interim president.

Legislative elections in two states are currently underway. First there will be elections in Bihar and in 2021 there will be elections in West Bengal.
