WHO changes instructions on children wearing masks, learn new guidelines

Geneva, 23 August 2020, Sunday

The World Health Organization has released guidelines for children wearing masks, as cases of coronavirus are on the rise worldwide. The WHO says children under the age of five should not wear masks. This decision has been made keeping in mind the ability to wear a mask. The World Health Organization has also considered other factors such as the safety of children and their overall health. The WHO has set some criteria for children under the age of 6 to 11 on its Corona virus page. The WHO says children should only wear masks in areas where the coronavirus is widespread.

Factors such as children's ability to wear masks, adult supervision and the likelihood of learning should be taken into account, the organization said. Children under the age of 12 should wear masks and be careful where they live, without fear of spreading the virus.

Medical masks should be worn to protect children suffering from cancer and cystic fibrosis, the World Health Organization said. Masks are not required for underdeveloped children and this decision should be made by parents, caregivers and nurses. The Kovid-19 has affected 23 million people worldwide. The highest number of cases are in USA, India and Brazil. Efforts to combat the epidemic were praised in several countries, including Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, New Zealand and Vietnam. But now corona cases are on the rise in those countries as well.

In India, the death toll has risen to 56,706 from 912 in the last 24 hours. Transition cases in the country increased to 30,44,940. Of these, 7,07,668 are under treatment and 22,80,566 have recovered. Foreigners are also involved in total cases of infection.
