The update on the world's tallest bridge being built over the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir

The world's tallest railway bridge over the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir will be completed by next year. Officials gave this information on Sunday.

The bridge will connect the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country. The height of the bridge will be 467 meters and the bridge will be 359 meters above the river bank. The Qutub Minar in Delhi is 72 meters high and the Eiffel Tower is 324 meters high.

"This is the tallest bridge in the world," said a senior government official. Its design is such that it can withstand winds at a speed of 266 kilometers per hour.

The construction of this bridge has gained momentum in the last one year. The central government is directly overseeing the work of the bridge to connect the Kashmir Valley to the railway network.

He said that the construction work of the bridge has been going on rapidly during the last one year under the supervision of top professionals of the Central Government. According to the plan, Kashmir will be connected to train services by December 2022, he said.
