A serious mishap occurred in a police line in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The roof of the police line barracks suddenly collapsed. As a result, a number of policemen were crushed and one policeman is said to have died. The policeman was rushed to a hospital for treatment with serious injuries where he succumbed to his injuries.

A video clip of the incident was circulating on social media in which it was seen that one person was seriously injured and yet he hinted that a few other policemen were crushed under the debris. The injured policeman was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the news, senior officials rushed to the spot and inspected the relief work. The process of evacuating the people trapped under the debris was underway with the help of JCB machine. Senior police officials ordered an investigation into how the roof collapsed.

On the one hand, there were reports of a building collapsing five years ago in Mahad in Maharashtra's Raigad district, while on the other hand, there were reports of an accident at the Kanpur police line. Relief work was underway in the police line at the time of writing. The condition of the injured is stable, a hospital spokesman said. Full details about this Barack have not yet come out.
