Satyapal Malik, who was the governor of Goa till Monday, was made the governor of Meghalaya this morning. The vacancy for Goa's governor has not been filled immediately. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari will also be the current Governor of Goa. Thus Koshyari's responsibility increased. Apart from Maharashtra, he will also be the Governor of Goa.

The details were revealed in a list released by Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Earlier, it was rumored that the case of Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar had caused political turmoil in Maharashtra, putting Bhagat Singh Koshyari's governorship in jeopardy. But all those rumors were false. On the contrary, the responsibility of two states was placed on Koshyari. This was a living proof that the Center has full confidence in its efficiency.
