Ram was also our ancestor: Muslim women

Not only the Sanatan Dharmi Hindus, but also the Muslim masses of Varanasi and especially the Muslim women are very enthusiastic for the worship of Lord Rama's birthplace. In the village of Lamahi in Varanasi, Muslim women along with Hindu women paid homage to the three-day uninterrupted recitation of Ram Charit Manas by Tulsidasji.

This continuous lesson which started on Monday 3rd August will be completed tomorrow evening on 5th August. The most interesting thing is that even these Muslim women believe that Lord Rama was their ancestor. These Muslim women often participate in the chanting of Lord Rama along with Hindu women. On Chaitra Sud Navami, the birthday of Lord Rama, these women perform Aarti Puja and Bhajan Kirtan in the temple of Lord Rama.

Earlier, some clerics had issued fatwas to stop them from doing so, but these Muslim women did not heed the fatwas. These women say that Lord Rama is not only the ancestor of Hindus, but also of us.

We are also very happy that the birthplace of Lord Rama is being worshiped after hundreds of years. To express that joy, we decided to do a continuous recitation of Ram Charit Manas for three days. This continuous lesson started on Monday morning. It will conclude on Wednesday evening after sunset.

These women say in a firm voice that no one can stop us from chanting Lord Rama. We also have the right to recite Ram Charit Manas. We also follow our religion with full faith so we do not count any fatwas.
