PM Modi's letter on Dhoni's retirement also praised Sena's role

Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has won two World Cups, has recently bid farewell to international cricket. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to Dhoni praising his achievements. For this, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter.

"An artist, a soldier and a player want to be admired," Dhoni tweeted. They want everyone to know their hard work and sacrifice. Thank you PM Narendra Modi for the good wishes received from you.

PM Modi had earlier written that the spirit of a new India shines in you, when the fate of the youth is not decided by their family but they earn their own goal and name.

Dhoni, 39, has played 350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 Twenty20 internationals since entering international cricket in 2004. Under Dhoni's captaincy, India won its first T20 World Cup in 2007. She then won the 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013. India also won the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups under Dhoni's captaincy.
