Next month the US will hold meetings with India, Japan and Australia, discussing the fight against China

Washington, Ta. 30 August 2020, Sunday

The United States is preparing to counter China's growing influence in the South China Sea and its territorial thinking in some parts of the world. A meeting of US-led officials from India, Japan and Australia is set to take place soon in view of Beijing's growing influence.

US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said a meeting of US, Indian, Japanese and Australian officials would be held in September and October. He said the meeting would discuss ways to fight China.

"China's stance is becoming aggressive and Washington knows how to fight them," O'Brien said. Minister Mike Pompeo will meet with the foreign ministers of India, Japan and Australia before the meeting of officials from the four countries. "China's growing influence in the Indian Ocean and its moves are unacceptable," he said.

The US NSA said precise measures should be taken to combat China's moves in the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean. America's role in the meantime is to be special. "We are going to fight China at the diplomatic, military and economic levels," he said. China should soon suffer the consequences of its actions.
