A new outbreak erupted during tensions between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. According to a report, Saudi Arabia was encouraging former Pakistani military chief General Raheel Sharif to get involved in politics.

General Raheel Sharif is one of the few officers of the Pakistan Army who is popular among the people of the country. Incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan's chair could be in jeopardy if Sharif leans into politics. People look at General Sharif with respect. Apart from Saudi Arabia, other Arab countries were also urging General Sharif to get involved in politics. The news caused a stir in the media. The issue was particularly well-received on social media.

Recently, the current chief of the Pakistan Army, General Bajwa, also met Raheel Sharif. Saudi Arabia was outraged when Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on Saudi Arabia and the OIC (Organization of Islamic Co-operation) to support Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Just two days ago, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman refused to meet General Bajwa, the head of the Pakistani army, and was deported back to Pakistan. Along with Bajwa, the ISI chief also went to Saudi Arabia. Neither could meet the Saudi Crown Prince. Qureshi's nonsense also adversely affected Pakistan's other Islamic allies, Qatar and Turkey.

According to unconfirmed reports, the days of Imran Khan's prime ministership were numbered. Don't be surprised if the Pakistani army overthrows Imran at any time.

General Raheel Sharif had prepared an army for Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism. That is how General Sharif is in the Good Book of Saudi Arabia.
