Digvijay Singh, a senior Congress leader and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, claimed on his Twitter handle that incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited China after the post-Godhra riots in Gujarat.

He also claimed that during the 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections, an article appeared in China's official daily Global Times that leading Chinese companies wanted a BJP government in Gujarat.

Digvijay Singh alleged that Modi visited China at a time when many countries in the world like the US and England had banned him from coming there after the Godhra riots sparked violent riots in Gujarat. With good relations with the Chinese rulers, Modi is turning a blind eye to what China is currently doing in Ladakh. Digvijay also claimed that when Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the investment of Chinese companies in Gujarat had increased.

Digvijay shared a video clip which also claimed that Chinese investment got a green light after Modi became the Prime Minister at the Center. Free land was given to Chinese companies and Chinese companies invested Rs 45,000 crore in Gujarat alone.

The video clip claimed that Chinese companies had invested in the Adani-run Mundra port and occupied it. Narendra Modi has visited Chinese President Xi Jinping 18 times since he formed the government at the Center.
