Dhaka, Ta. Thursday 20 August 2020

Corona virus has spread in the world. The world is looking for a vaccine to protect against the corona virus. Bangladesh, meanwhile, says India will make the corona virus vaccine available to Bangladesh as a priority.

According to a report, the High Commissioner in Dhaka said that Bangladesh would receive the corona vaccine from India on a priority basis. However, Indian Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Sringala is currently on a visit to Bangladesh. During the visit, Shringala met his Bangladeshi counterpart Masood bin Momen in Dhaka. At the same time, the two discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations amid the Corona virus epidemic.

After meeting Shringla, Bangladesh's foreign secretary Masood bin Momen said the corona vaccine would not be limited to India. We have been assured that India will provide corona vaccine to us on priority basis. The country's pharmaceutical companies will be able to collaborate on this. Bin Momen, meanwhile, also shared information about the vaccine with the Serum Institute of India.

The talks between the two countries come days after the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMC) approved the third phase of human testing of the anti-covid 19 vaccine manufactured by China Kosinovac Biotech Limited. Earlier, China had also sent a medical team to assess the preparations for the epidemic in Bangladesh during the first week of June.
