In Kanpur, 16 died from corona in 24 hours, the district magistrate was immediately replaced

The state government had ordered the immediate transfer of the district magistrate of Kanpur after 16 people died in the last 24 hours from corona in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur city. So far, there have been more than 12,000 cases of corona in Kanpur city alone. Currently, there are 3,279 active cases of corona in Kanpur, media reports said. The state government had ordered the transfer of Kanpur District Magistrate Dr Brahmadev Tiwari.

Dr. Brahmadev Tiwari was replaced by Anil Tiwari as the District Magistrate of Kanpur. In the last twenty-four hours, there were 288 active cases of corona in Kanpur. However, the state government argued that corona cases were much less in Uttar Pradesh than in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

One lakh 88 thousand cases of corona have been reported in Uttar Pradesh so far. Of these, one lakh 36 thousand people had recovered. As the number of corona cases in Kanpur increased, the state government advised the health department officials in Kanpur to be more vigilant and work on a three-pronged policy of testing, tracing and treatment. Officers were urged not to be negligent.
