The district official, who found the complaint to be true, has ordered registration of a complaint against five others, including the director of the hospital.

Both the doctors and the director of the hospital have absconded after the complaint was registered. Police are conducting raids at various places to arrest him. A team has been formed to look into the matter based on a complaint lodged by the patient's relatives. The inquiry committee has questioned the hospital staff, the patient's relatives and the patients. The investigation revealed that the hospital was forcing the patient's relatives and the patient to pay Rs 6 lakh 34 thousand by issuing a raw bill.

Following the incident, the district official has issued strict orders to the private hospitals in Patna to provide details of reasonable fees, fixed bills and expenses to the patients. In particular, it has been directed to keep a close watch on the 28 private hospitals treating Corona.
