Great relief to motorists through the center


-Extended the period for renewal of papers till December

-Many documents expired during lockdown

The central government today announced a decision to give a big relief to motorists. During the lockdown, it was announced that all those whose driving licenses or other documents have expired will be able to renew their documents till December.

The Union Ministry of Transport said in a public statement that the documents of drivers who were to be renewed at the end of February this year or later during the lockdown could now be renewed till December 31. He will not be harassed or fined by the traffic police on the way.

Earlier, the central government had extended the renewal dates till March, then June and finally September 30. Now it has been extended to December 31, so drivers will not be bothered on the roads.

Due to the lockdown from March to June this year, millions of people had to renew their driving licenses, insurance, etc. Traffic wardens and police checking on the roads naturally fined such people. The decision was taken by the central government following widespread complaints which will now be a relief to millions of motorists in the country.
