Government extends validity of documents like fitness, RC, driving license till 31st December

The Central Government has extended the waiver of renewal of documents like fitness, RC, permit, driving license etc. till 31st December 2020 in view of Corona virus infection. In such cases, those whose driving license, permit, etc. documents have expired, have been given a respite till December 31. Earlier this deadline was till September.

During the Corona lockdown, the Union Road Transport Ministry issued an order stating that the validity of expired driving licenses, RCs, fitness certificates, all types of permits and other related documents has been extended till June 30, 2020. The government has since extended the deadline to September and now to December.

In view of the transmission of the corona virus, it has been instructed to gather at least a crowd in these offices. Lockdown and Section 144 are still in many places, affecting the operation of renewal of documents. With this in mind, the central government has decided to extend the deadline for its renewal.
