Donald Trump names Nikki Haley of India as star speaker against Kamala Harris

The US is trying to woo the Indians who are there in the presidential election from both sides. Democrats have fielded Kamala Harris for vice president, but now Donald Trump's party has made the election interesting by making Republican the star speaker to answer Nikki Haley.

Speaking during the opening ceremony of the Republican Convention, Nikki Haley said, "I am the proud daughter of Indian tourists." He said he came to America and took a bus to a small southern town. My father wore a turban. My mother wore a sari. I was a brown girl in a black and white world.

“We faced discrimination and hardship,” he said. But my parents never complained and hated. My mother built a successful business. My dad historically taught at Black College for 30 years and the people of South Carolina chose me as their first minority and first woman governor.

Nikki Haley's parents came to America from Amritsar

Born in South Carolina, Nikki Haley's original name was Nimrata Randhawa. His father Ajit Singh Randhawa and mother Raj Kaur Randhawa came here from Amritsar in Punjab. The four-day President Trump 2020 Convention will honor great American history, Trump said in a statement. In the meantime, the agenda of Make America Great Again will also be put in front of everyone. Apart from Nikki Haley, President Trump's sons Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle will also address the crowd on the first day of the convention. First Lady Melania Trump will address the convention Wednesday from the White House-based Rose Garden. This will be the first time in the history of the US presidential election.

Trump's focus will be on Americans
