Corona vaccination campaign to be launched in October: Russia

Moscow, August 2, 2020, Sunday

Russia now appears to be ahead of other countries in the race to develop a vaccine against corona.

Russia has announced that a large-scale corona vaccination campaign will be launched in the country from October. According to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, the Ministry of Health is busy preparing the program. The first dose of the vaccine will be given to doctors and teachers.

The Russian government will approve the country's first corona vaccine this month. However, some experts are also concerned about the speed with which the vaccine has been developed.

Earlier, US Anthology expert Dr Anthony Fauchi said, "I don't think other countries will succeed in creating vaccines before the US and the US will have to depend on them."

Currently, more than 20 projects are underway in the world to develop the vaccine. However, according to Russia, the Gamaleya Institute in Moscow has completed a clinical trial of the vaccine.
