Agra: Firing between bus hijackers and police

The miscreants, who hijacked a bus with 34 passengers, clashed with police in the Fatehabad area on Thursday morning. Both sides exchanged fire. One of the thugs managed to escape while another was shot in the leg.

According to an earlier report, the financier who financed the bus failed to pay the bus owner's loan installment and the bus overturned and left the bus driver and conductor on the highway. The bus was then taken forward and the thirty-four passengers were also released in Jhansi. The injured miscreant was identified as Pradeep Gupta. Anne's interrogation was ongoing.

According to an unconfirmed report, Pradeep Guptaj is said to be the financier. The bus left Gurugram at 3 am yesterday with passengers from Jhansi, Chhatarpur, Panna and other places. When the bus reached near Agra bypass, the miscreants in the Xylo car seized the bus and took the driver and conductor with them in the car. A rogue in the car was driving the bus. The passengers who were sleeping in the bus were not aware of any of this. Later all the passengers were safely reached Jhansi by another vehicle.

The bus was later seized by police in Etawah. There was a clash between police and thugs this morning. Police were looking for other thugs in the Xylo car.

There were initial reports that the bus had been hijacked. It was later learned that the bus was hijacked by a financier as the loan installments were not being paid regularly.
